Terms & Conditions

The Hub is the member application for La Fábrica London. You need an account to see your classes, check in, follow the syllabus, buy memberships and book socials.

Your account is personal to you. Keep your sign-in details secure, do not share them, and tell us if you think someone else has access. Details recorded under your account — attendance, exam results and purchases — are treated as yours.

You must accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy to use the Hub, whether you sign up with email or with Google. Where these Terms are updated materially, you may be asked to accept the new version.

Joining a regular class level is subject to approval and level assessment. Once you have been approved and hold a Hub account, memberships, exam entries and event tickets are purchased directly in the Hub through Stripe checkout. Where a purchase is arranged outside the Hub, payment is made via a secure payment link provided by us.

A purchase is confirmed only once payment has completed and Stripe has confirmed it to us. Prices are shown in the Hub at the point of purchase and include any applicable taxes.

We do not handle or store your card details. If a payment fails or remains outstanding, class access may be suspended until it is settled.

A membership is sold in cycles. One cycle is exactly four scheduled regular class sessions on the weekday and level you purchased, allocated to your account when your payment completes. Those four sessions are the classes your cycle entitles you to attend, and they appear in the Hub under your upcoming classes.

Exams, labs, socials and other standalone products are separate purchases and never consume a cycle session.

Class levels run from Beginners through Improvers and Mid Level to Intermediate. Access is granted for the level you purchased.

You can pause or cancel a recurring membership from your profile in the Hub, or ask an administrator to do it for you.

Cancelling stops future billing and future renewals. It does not remove sessions you have already paid for: the sessions allocated to your current cycle remain valid and you may attend them. Cancellation therefore takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and no partial refund is issued for a cycle already purchased.

Pausing stops the next renewal while allowing your current cycle to finish. Resuming restores future billing from the next renewal date.

Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cannot attend a class, lab, exam or social you have booked, no refund or credit is issued and the session is treated as used.

The only exceptions are cancellations made by us, which are handled as set out in the next two sections.

If we cancel a scheduled class, we will tell affected students in the Hub. Where a cancelled session formed part of your membership cycle, an administrator will reallocate it to another eligible regular class session so that your cycle still delivers four classes. Refunds are not issued automatically unless we state otherwise.

If we cancel a social or event, new purchases stop immediately and every ticket holder is notified in the Hub. If you paid for a ticket, you choose one of two resolutions:

• Event credit — the value is held on your account and applied automatically at checkout on a future social or event. Event credit can only be used for events and cannot be applied to memberships or exams, exchanged for cash or transferred.
• Refund — the amount is refunded through Stripe to the original payment method. Processing times are set by your bank or card issuer.

Only one resolution can be applied per booking.

You check in for a class through the Hub. Check-in opens shortly before the class and closes a short time after it starts; a grace period of 15 minutes applies. Where relevant you will be asked to confirm whether you are dancing lead or follow, so we can keep the room balanced.

You may only check in to a session you are entitled to attend, and only once. A check-in consumes the corresponding session from your membership cycle.

Teachers and administrators may correct an attendance record that was made in error — for example the wrong session, a duplicate, or the wrong dance role. Corrections are recorded internally with a reason. Where a check-in is removed as a mistake, the session is returned to your cycle.

We reserve the right to:

• assess and assign appropriate class levels;
• refuse entry to a class if a participant is not suited to that level;
• move participants between levels when necessary;
• refuse service or remove participants for inappropriate, unsafe or disruptive behaviour.

Our decisions on class placement are made in the interest of safety, learning quality and group balance.

Every class and event has a capacity limit, which is enforced at the point of purchase. Once a session is full, no further places can be bought, even if a checkout is already open.

Labs are level-specific and participation may be subject to assessment. Advanced labs may require an assessment before approval; participation is not guaranteed and remains at the discretion of the teaching team.

Exams are entered and paid for separately and sit outside your membership cycle. An exam is marked out of 100 points, made up of a written element, a peer practical element and a teacher-assessed element. Your score, resulting outcome and written feedback are published to you in the Hub once the panel has finalised them.

Passing an exam is what unlocks progression to the next level. Panel deliberations and internal notes remain confidential to the teaching team, and the panel's decision is final.

No trial classes are offered, except where an assessment is required for level suitability.

Socials, events and other standalone products do not require an active membership, a class level or any class entitlement. Any Hub account holder can buy them, subject to capacity. Where a product does require a level or a prior assessment — for example an advanced lab — this is stated at the point of purchase.

Private classes are arranged by request and subject to availability. Sessions are tailored to individual or couple goals, and payment terms for private classes are communicated separately.

All participation is at your own risk.

By attending classes you confirm that you are physically fit to take part. It is your responsibility to disclose any injuries, medical conditions or limitations that may affect your participation.

La Fábrica London holds public liability insurance. We are not responsible for injuries sustained during classes unless caused by proven negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may take photos or video during classes for training or promotional purposes, and we always announce when a recording is taking place. If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, please tell a teacher before the session begins and we will respect your request.

La Fábrica is a partner-dance environment. Treat teachers, staff and fellow students with respect, dance within your partner's comfort and consent, respect the venue and its neighbours, and follow the instructions of teaching staff.

Harassment, discrimination, intoxication, unsafe dancing and disruptive behaviour are not tolerated, whether in the studio, at a social or in Hub content you submit.

We may restrict or suspend access to classes or to the Hub where there is a breach of these Terms, conduct that puts others at risk, an unpaid or disputed balance, or suspected misuse of an account or of another person's credentials. Where reasonable we will tell you why and how the matter can be resolved.

Our classes are open to mixed ages, and the majority of participants are between 18 and 45 years old. By booking, you confirm that you meet our age requirements and are comfortable training in a mixed-age environment. Anyone under 18 must have consent from a parent or guardian before participating.

The La Fábrica name, logo, branding, the Hub itself, and all syllabus material, choreography breakdowns, class notes and teaching content belong to La Fábrica London or its teachers. They are provided for your personal learning only and may not be copied, republished, taught commercially or shared outside the Hub without our written permission.

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version and date at the top of this page show the current edition. Continued participation in our services, or continued use of the Hub, constitutes acceptance of any updates.

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.
